If you belong to PCMA, you already have a built-in desire to create engagement. Whether you know it or not, engagement is one of your main methods of judging the success or failure of your events. What planner isn’t thrilled to hear the roar of an engaged group? Who doesn’t want to see new and deeper bonds created in their teams?
In my session Create Engagement, we won’t just talk about engagement, we will create it in the room. You will leave with tangible strategies to create deeper engagement at your meetings and events that you will experience live in the session!
After exploring why engagement is both advantageous and contagious, we will dive into the “AGE of ENGAGE”. This age sees engagement move from a mean-nothing, feel-good, fuzzy term to a concept full of power and meaning. Engagement is measurable and the results are staggering.
Then we examine various methods of creating engagement and look at some that are perfect for the meetings industry. Once again, you will experience these in real time and you will feel the power of engagement yourself.
One of my favourite sayings about engagement comes from Scott Gould: “Participation is the currency of engagement.” We will explore the value that active participants create and discuss how to raise the bar from attendee to participant in our industry.
Lastly, we will examine ‘The Secrets of Engagement’ which you can share it with your colleagues, friends, and family. “Engagement is the secret sauce that makes life magical.” So it’s not just a work concept; it’s a life concept.
