In May 2016, We welcomed 400 corporate Chinese guests to the Westin Bayshore in Vancouver for a night of totally custom, WOW-factor entertainment. The group was made up of top insurance performers being honored for their hard work, and they wanted a one of a kind experience that their guests would never forget. They had a very specific vision that they wanted to fulfill, so we brought out the big guns and worked with our top singers, dancers, choreographers, and custom performers to help create something special.
Co-MC Roger Haskett led the processions with a Cantonese speaking cohort to give away prizes, honor the top performers, and welcome our performers to the stage.
We kicked off the night with a big top themed fire dancing, spitting, and dazzling duo. A gaggle of colorful, happy clowns who had surprised guests earlier in the day on their city tour also re-emerged to help winners up to the stage, pose for photos, and make them feel like stars!
The next performance was a re-creation of Katy Perry's iconic 2010 American Music Awards rendition of 'Firework' - complete with confetti canons, backup dancers, and a children's choir to tug at the heartstrings of our esteemed guests.
Finally, it was time to get the dance floor started and turn up the heat! Our Canadian hip hop dance crew Timber! performed a totally custom medley themed to a mash-up of lumberjack chic and Chippendales style sexiness. This was another very unique request - our specialty!
Overall, the night was a huge success, and we felt accomplished to have created bespoke pieces that not only worked in the context of a corporate gala, but crossed cultural and language barriers in a way that made everyone happy and energizes all evening.
